Orthopedic Massage

What is an Orthopedic Massage?

At Chelsea Massage & Yoga Therapy, we offer specialized Orthopedic Massage based on the groundbreaking techniques of Ben Benjamin, a leader in the field of therapeutic massage. Rooted in a deep understanding of anatomy and the musculoskeletal system, our approach is designed to provide targeted relief from pain, improve movement, and support long-term wellness.

Ben Benjamin’s methods focus on identifying and treating musculoskeletal imbalances that cause discomfort and restrict mobility. His techniques incorporate myofascial release, deep tissue manipulation, and postural alignment to alleviate chronic pain, injury, and tension. We customize each session to meet your unique needs, addressing specific areas of concern while promoting holistic healing.

By combining Ben Benjamin’s work with insights from Anatomy Trains, we apply a comprehensive approach that considers the body’s interconnected fascia networks. This allows us to work not just on localized pain but to treat the root causes of dysfunction that may be affecting distant areas of your body.

Whether you’re recovering from an injury, dealing with persistent pain, or simply seeking to optimize your body’s function, our Orthopedic Massage treatments are designed to improve mobility and restore balance. We tailor every session to your individual needs, ensuring effective results that support both your immediate comfort and long-term health goals.

What is a Medical Massage?

Medical Massage is aimed at restoring function and reducing pain after a catastrophic collision injury. These sessions consist of orthopedic techniques: scar tissue release, neuromuscular re-education, and myofascial release for conditions such as brain injury, spinal cord injury, multiple fractures, or neurological disorders. A prescription for massage is required from your doctor.
